ABOUT ME
Derrick Tint, MD
Dr. Derrick Tint received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He then went on to Temple University Hospital where he completed his residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. During his residency, he developed a passion for treating disorders of the ear. Afterward Dr. Tint went on to complete a fellowship in advanced otology at the Pittsburgh Ear Associates where he focused on honing his skills in endoscopic ear surgery and lateral skull base surgery.
Dr. Tint believes in a holistic and human approach when it comes to the care for his patients. He developed this philosophy while treating the underserved population of Northern Philadelphia. Dr. Tint also continues to expand his knowledge in the field of otolaryngology and has authored and presented numerous publications in both otology and laryngology. He is currently conducting research on profoundly deaf patients with cochlear implants. Dr. Tint is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.
Dr. Tint volunteers his time with a team of world renown otolaryngologists at the CURE organization. With them he travels to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia yearly to care for children with otolaryngologic disorders and to educate the residents at the Blank Lion Hospital. He enjoys the challenges that are presented when caring for people in underserved regions of the world.
